Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in an LA Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California at the age of 55.

His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The celebrated game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"We are facing a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
