Salah Issues Apology to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the entire Liverpool squad following the controversy from his public comments.

The Incident

He was omitted from a key Champions League match after making accusations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had soured.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”

The head coach has refused to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

Moving Forward

The player stated that the team's response was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and everybody was exactly the same with him,” he continued.

Jones also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I get that there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

Team Form

Their results have stayed unbeaten in the period after the situation. He feels the forward's comments were never meant to harm the team.

“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, playing well and securing victories.”
